The Woking Debates, Saturday 17 January, 11am to 12:30pm, Christ Church, Jubilee Square, Woking GU21 6YG
Our 2015 season starts with UKIP MEP Roger Helmer and leading local LibDem Philip Goldenberg opening the discussion on one of the major issues in the lead up to the next General Election.
As usual, there will be ample opportunity for local residents to share their views on this important topic.
Sheila Coles of Woking Friends took us on an easy stroll through George Fox’s first journal during one of our Monday night sessions. Hopefully this will be followed up in 2015 with a discussion on how it relates to us as Quakers. See www.wokingquakers.org/articles/george-fox/ for an account of what Sheila shared.
For those interested in the excellent work of Street Pastors in Guildford, Kingston or elsewhere, here is a video clip of a night out in Kingston.
All welcome to a quiet time of thinking and sharing. Please join us at the Quaker Meeting House, 41 Park Road, Woking. 7:30 for 7:45pm Monday 22 September.
